another reason for my unusually long absence was that I have been on holiday in Cannes at the French Riviera. It has been my holiday destination for 15 years and I would not change it for the world. Why? Well, where do I start...
1. The schools look so alluring that you wish to be a pupil again.

My hair-dresser for 15 years. The only hair-dresser in the world to whom
I just have to say "do it" and she'll do a very fashionable hairstyle which
underlines your character.
17. You do not need to take a lot of clothes, You can buy your birthday-dress there.
The dress of my dreams, I always wanted to have one like this and found
it in Cannes.
18. Fashion victims, attention! Giorgio Armani has opened a café there.
19. It is a shopping-paradise.
You can shop in high-class designer shops such as The Kooples...
...or in the famous Rue Meynadier for the original Cannes-beach-style.
20. You do not need to travel to the other side of the world to get the California-feeling.

Cannes gives itself a personal touch at its bus stops. Behind every schedule there is a photograph
of one of the artists that have once been at the film festival of Cannes with the name and the year
they have been there. Here the Italian actress Sophia Loren who has been in Cannes in 1959.

Forgive me my little patriot speech but, our Europe is just at least as attractive as the United States,
